Airborne Airlines

A ficticious airline booking system, showcasing UI skills in Figma

Project Outline

This project was designed to set up a Figma workspace from scratch, explore design briefs, and to consider the move from UX to UI.

It also explored the structure and intent behind the UI flow: relating to the user journey, and identifying key states in the UI stack.

Other key aspects of UI design were also examined: design guidelines, the use of GEL and DLS, accessibility standards and responsive design. Atomic design principles were applied whilst creating a component library.  Larger components were then created (organisms, templates, and full pages), ensuring visual consistency and functionality.

Interactivity and motion were applied to prototype designs in order to create a clickable, user-driven experience. Ethical implications of design decisions were also considered, alongside a copyright review to ensure proper asset use.

Finally, usability testing was conducted to collect actionable feedback and improve the design based on real user insights.
